I still remember the first time I played Morrowind, classic open CRPG from Bethesda. I got instantly mesmerized by the orchestral music that filled the air wherever I roamed. I was just walking around the mythical countryside just longing to hear “that next tune”. Ever since then, I’ve been following Soule’s footsteps when it comes to producing soundtracks.
Soule manages to use powerful reverbs well and his sound is so airy and cosmic that it’s hard to describe. His best works in my books are definitely Morrowind, Guild Wars and Oblivion soundtracks. Definitely recommended to check out if you enjoy orchestral fantasy soundtracks!
